Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy

This English version is provided for information purposes. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version shall prevail.

1. SCOPE AND DEFINITIONS

1.1. Purpose of the Policy

This policy has been prepared to set the legal boundaries of all original content, training curricula and digital assets produced by Dog Craft Academy (the “Academy”); to prevent the unauthorized use of intellectual work; and to protect the Academy’s corporate identity.

1.2. Definitions

As used in this text:

  • Academy: means the Dog Craft Academy digital platforms and all professional services offered under this brand,
  • Website: means the website with the domain name www.dogcraftacademy.com,
  • Content: means all text, blog posts, articles, designs, logos, graphics, audio recordings, photographs and downloadable documents on the Website,
  • DCA Curriculum: means the original training systems that, based on universal principles of behavioral science, represent the manner in which these principles are structured, sequenced and translated into practical life by the Academy,
  • Digital Assets: means the DCA Family Management Panel, digital analysis forms, training videos and case records.

1.3. Scope of Application

This policy covers all users visiting the Website, clients receiving training services, participants in the "Skoru Eşitle" project and third parties using the Academy’s digital infrastructure. Every individual who accesses the platform is deemed to have declared and undertaken that the "manner of treatment and presentation" of universal scientific data within the Academy constitutes intellectual property, and to comply with these terms of use.

2. COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP AND LEGAL BASIS

2.1. Legal Ownership and Intellectual Property

All designs, interfaces, code, text, logos, graphics, audio recordings, videos, training curricula and methodological structures on the Website (www.dogcraftacademy.com) belong exclusively to Dog Craft Academy (the “Academy”) pursuant to the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846 (FSEK), the Industrial Property Law No. 6769 and the relevant international copyright legislation.

2.2. Scope of Protection and Prohibitions

These rights belonging to the Academy strictly prohibit the copying, reproduction, distribution, adaptation or transfer to other media of all or part of the content, and its use for any commercial purpose without the Academy’s express written permission. The use of materials on our Website in a manner that imitates the Academy’s original structure and form of presentation, even under the guise of "information sharing", constitutes copyright infringement.

2.3. Trademark and Trade Name Rights

The "Dog Craft Academy" brand, its logo and the names of the services/methodologies offered under this brand are subject to trademark protection. Legal action will be taken if these names and designations are used by third parties engaged in similar activities in a manner likely to cause confusion with the services offered by the Academy.

2.4. Evidence and Record-Keeping System

All content published by the Academy is recorded, as of its publication date, through system logs and periodic server backups. In the event of a possible infringement of rights, these technical records and digital data are submitted to the legal authorities as irrefutable proof that the content belongs to the Academy and of its first publication date.

3. METHODOLOGICAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND ORIGINAL CURRICULUM

3.1. Methodological Application and Presentation Rights

The Academy reserves all rights to the original "DCA Training Curriculum" it has developed, based on the universally accepted principles of canine behavioral science (Ethology, the LIMA Protocol, etc.), for integrating these principles into practical life and household dynamics. The manner in which scientific concepts are interpreted, prioritized, arranged into a particular disciplinary hierarchy and translated into training sessions by the Academy is protected as intellectual property.

3.2. Unauthorized Use and Imitation of the Curriculum

The management strategies for developmental stages, case analysis flows and guidance protocols contained on the Website, in digital documents and in panel content are the intellectual property of the Academy. It is strictly prohibited for this curriculum structure to be used as the basis of another training program, to form the main framework of a commercial service, or to be copied using similar terminology and presented as a "new method".

3.3. Original Terminology and Know-How

The conceptual sets used by the Academy to describe its training processes and the dog–human dialogue, together with the systematic relationship in which these concepts follow one another, are the Academy’s trade secret and original intellectual output. Imitating these concepts as a whole, or without disrupting their systematic flow, is deemed unfair competition contrary to the rules of good faith and a serious infringement of intellectual property rights.

3.4. Record and Proof of Time

This curriculum and terminology specific to the Academy have been historically sealed through system logs and periodic server backups from the very moment they were published. In the event of any theft of content or method, these server records constitute technical evidence proving that the Academy is the "first right holder".

4. PRINCIPLES FOR THE USE OF VISUAL AND AUDIO CONTENT

4.1. Ownership of Multimedia Assets

All video recordings, case analyses, photographs, graphics and audio files on the Website, on social media channels and in the DCA Family Management Panel constitute "works" by virtue of their editing, treatment and presentation. The ownership, publication and economic rights to these materials belong exclusively to Dog Craft Academy (the “Academy”).

4.2. Unauthorized Recording and Technical Monitoring

Obtaining the Academy’s visual content by means of screen recording, downloading with third-party software or digital scraping is strictly prohibited. Content on the platform is monitored through server-side authentication and access logs. Unauthorized access or bulk data extraction attempts are detected by the system, and a legal investigation process is initiated on the basis of the relevant access sources.

4.3. Copyright Infringement and Sharing Outside the Platform

Sharing training videos, methodological presentations or analysis outputs on any digital channel (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), in closed messaging groups or in physical training settings without the Academy’s written permission constitutes a serious copyright infringement. Upon detection of such an infringement, takedown procedures are initiated by way of copyright notices, and the right to file a lawsuit for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages is simultaneously reserved.

4.4. Digital Archive and Retrospective Evidence

The Academy keeps all visual materials it publishes under protection through system logs and periodic server backups. These records constitute technical evidence proving that the Academy is the "Absolute Right Holder" in the event that the content is wrongfully used on another platform. The original backup of the content on our servers and the records of its first publication date form the fundamental basis in any legal dispute.

5. TERMS FOR QUOTATION, SHARING AND ATTRIBUTION

5.1. Personal and Non-Commercial Use

Informational content and blog posts published on the Website may be read solely for the purpose of personal information and may be shared on individual social media accounts in a manner that does not infringe the Academy’s copyrights (by sharing a direct link rather than a screenshot). It is prohibited to use this content to obtain commercial gain, to create professional training material or to build the main content of another platform.

5.2. Limits on Quotation and "Fair Use"

In accordance with "Fair Use" principles, quotations from the Academy’s texts may not exceed a reasonable level in proportion to the text as a whole (a maximum of one paragraph). Copying the entire text and publishing it on another channel is strictly prohibited, as it damages the originality of the content and adversely affects search engine indexing (SEO).

5.3. Mandatory Attribution and Linking

Where content belonging to the Academy is quoted:

  • On Digital Channels: The statement "Source: Dog Craft Academy" must appear immediately below or above the quotation, and an active, clickable "Dofollow" link must be provided to the original page (URL) of the relevant content on our website.
  • In Print Media: The name of the Academy and the website address (www.dogcraftacademy.com) must be clearly stated as the source.

5.4. Prohibition on Modifying Content

No modification may be made to quoted texts that alters their meaning, adds comments contrary to the Academy’s methodological stance or distorts the content. Texts must be shared in their original form and remain faithful to the Academy’s corporate language.

5.5. Sharing Approval and Right to Object

If the Academy determines that a channel on which its content is shared is contrary to its brand values, ethical principles or canine welfare standards, it reserves the right to request the removal of the relevant content. If the content is not removed within 24 hours of the notification, legal proceedings will be initiated.

6. PROTECTION OF DIGITAL ANALYSIS FORMS AND TRAINING DOCUMENTS

6.1. Ownership of the Analysis Methodology

All digital data collection tools developed by the Academy, such as "Professional Triage", "Character Analysis Forms", "Case Identification Questionnaires" and "Progress Tracking Charts", are original processing models created by the Academy to measure the dog–human dynamic. The question structure, algorithm and answer options of these forms are the intellectual property of the Academy.

6.2. Prohibition on Copying Templates and Content

It is strictly prohibited for forms on the Website or forms sent specifically to clients to be used as a "template" by another trainer or institution, for their questions to be copied verbatim or in modified form, or for a similar analysis structure to be designed. The systematic structure of these forms represents the Academy’s accumulated "Know-How" (technical knowledge) and is protected as a trade secret.

6.3. Individual Use and Reproduction Limit

PDF guides, worksheets and assignment charts provided to clients within the scope of the training process are licensed solely for the process the relevant client will carry out with their own dog. Sharing these documents in digital environments, reproducing them by photocopying or distributing them to third parties as training material constitutes an infringement of intellectual property rights.

6.4. System Backups and Record Verification

The structure and content of all digital forms are recorded in server backups as of their creation dates. If an analysis system similar to the Academy’s form structure is detected on another platform, an intellectual property infringement lawsuit will be filed on the basis of the "first creation date" and "system backup" data in the server records.

7. TALENT & MEDIA (CASTING) DATABASE RIGHTS

7.1. Ownership of the Database and Portfolio

The "Talent & Media" (Casting) portfolio created within the Academy is an original dataset consisting of dogs’ physical characteristics, training levels, suitability for set discipline and character analyses. The structure of this database, its selection criteria and its manner of classification are the property of the Academy.

7.2. Protection of Profile and Performance Information

The professional profiles, performance skill descriptions and set-readiness ratings prepared for dogs in the casting roster are digital assets reflecting the Academy’s expert opinion. Without the Academy’s written approval, this information may not be copied by other agencies, presented to producers "as if it were in their own portfolio" or transferred to a commercial database.

7.3. Casting Selection and Matching Algorithm

The project-specific "Character–Script Matching" and the analysis methods used in this process fall within the scope of the Academy’s trade secrets. "Recommendation Files" submitted to producers and directors are valid only for the relevant project, and sharing these files with third parties constitutes an infringement of intellectual property rights.

7.4. Graduation and Career Gateway Rights

The priority status of "DCA Graduate" dogs, which have successfully completed the training processes at the Academy, in casting assessments, and the use of this status, are subject to the Academy’s brand management. The use of the designation "Dog Craft Academy Approved Set Dog" or similar references by persons who have severed their ties with the Academy or have not completed the process is deemed an infringement of trademark rights.

7.5. Record and Proof of Currency

Upon detection of unauthorized use of the information of a dog in the portfolio or of special performance notes prepared by the Academy, the evidence will be used as irrefutable proof.

8. INFRINGEMENTS AND THE DOG CRAFT ACADEMY PROTECTION DISCIPLINE

8.1. Dynamic Monitoring and Intellectual Property Discipline

In order to protect the integrity of the original curriculum, digital assets and terminological structure produced within it, the Academy carries out comprehensive scans across the internet at intervals it determines and using methods it reserves. In this process, the Academy reserves the right to make use of global copyright monitoring standards and the analytical capabilities offered by third-party professional solution partners.

8.2. Reserved Technical Methods and Layers of Protection

To ensure the security of its digital assets, the Academy may use various monitoring and sealing methods, appropriate to the nature of the content, that are not directly disclosed. In the event of unauthorized use of training methods, case analyses or documentation structure, the "Access Logs" in our system records, time-stamped server backups and technical data documenting the Academy’s ownership are introduced into legal proceedings with the status of conclusive evidence under Law No. 5846.

8.3. Response and Infringement Management

Interactions on the Website and affiliated platforms are monitored through security procedures within the Academy’s operational confidentiality, for the purposes of protecting content and preventing abuse. When unauthorized use of original content or a methodological flow is detected, the infringement reports generated by the system are forwarded directly to the Academy’s legal department and to the copyright units of the relevant digital channels, without any requirement of prior notice.

8.4. Legal Sanctions and Deterrence

Against persons or institutions that infringe the copyrights, the "DCA Curriculum" structure or the Academy’s digital work, legal proceedings for the cessation of the infringement, claims for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages, and proceedings concerning the theft of intellectual property will be pursued resolutely. On platforms where infringing content appears (search engines, social networks, etc.), action will be taken in line with international standards (DMCA, etc.) to have the content permanently removed and to have a record created against the relevant accounts.

8.5. Competent Courts

Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes that may arise from the implementation of this policy and from any infringement of rights.
